Asus Transformer Prime
Hey, guys.
Eric Franklin from CNet.
And today we're taking a first look at the Asus Transformer Prime.
The follow up to the Asus Transformer release in early 2011.
Right away we noticed the prime is not only thinner than it's predecessor, but since it's also thinner than both the iPad 2 and Samsung galaxy tabs and point 1. It becomes the thinnest tablet yet.
However, it is slightly heavier than both of the upper mentioned tablets.
That Transformer Prime takes some design queues from iPad 2 which a slope aluminum back side and well round the corners that don't dig into your palms as the previous Transformer did.
Also while the back side does a good job of resisting a finger prints, the quality screen embezzles to come to them easily.
There's a 1.2 megapixel camera on the front, with a 8 megapixel camera on the back which records 10 adp video.
Like with the previous Transformer, the Prime can connect to a keyboard flask duct transforming it into an Android laptop.
With the previous Transformer making that connection wasn't the easiest thing in the world to do.
But the process improved dramatically on the Prime.
As it now easily slides into the flap.
It is a bit top heavy wing connected though.
The $150 duct is compatible only with the Prime and vice versa.
The duct includes a tract pad, a data/power connection, full slides ft flats and a USB port.
The prime is the first tablet to house in videos new quad court cpu that tag or 3. As a result transitions when navigating are much smoother in games like rip tight gp take advantage of the four course by adding graphical effects like splashes on the screen.
Something you don't see in other versions of the game.
You can also connect the tablet to an HTTV or monitor and play games via support of game pads.
10 ADP video play back is both smooth and crisp supported by a high quality IPS screen that delivers pretty wide view in angles.
The CPU can run at it's full normal speed or can be easily throttle to a balance mode or power saver mode doing Asus costume interface.
Asus also adds a super IPS plus mode, which buff the brightest making reading and sunlight a bit easier.
The Prime is available at $500 for the 32 gig byte version and $600 for the 64 gigabyte version.
The keyboard size duct checks in at a 150 bucks.
Check out the 4 review for more detail info.
