2021 Lincoln Nautilus: Big changes, familiar wrapper
The Lincoln Nautilus luxury SUV has been refreshed for 2021.
Though you probably won't notice any changes, and that's because it looks basically the same as before.
Basically now they have added a Chrome strip here on the bottom and the fog lights have been redesigned and the grill texture should be different even if the overall shape is the same.
And really that's about it for visual changes.
Surprisingly, this vehicles chassis tuning and powertrains carryover as well a 2 liter turbocharged 4 cylinder engine will once again serve base duty, providing 250 horsepower and 280 pound feet of torque for drivers that want a bit more.
An optional twin Turbo 27.
liter V6 rated at 335 horsepower and a stout 380 pound feet of torque will also be offered.
An 8 speed automatic transmission is standard equipment and so is fuel saving automatic stop start.
So if the suspension setup powertrains and exterior styling are all basically the same, what's new for 2021?
Well, in short the cabin.
Check this out.
OK, so the Nautilus is interior has been completely redesigned and as you can see it's much more horizontal than before.
Very much like what you get in the aviator, an navigator, and that is not a bad thing.
There's also Lincoln signature piano key Shifter which I really enjoy, although I know a lot of you aren't necessarily fans.
Overall, this interior seems very well built and the materials in this black label model are top notch, though I have noticed a couple things are missing.
the Lincoln Vision steering wheel, that sort of lights up as you turn on various functions is not here.
Those nifty electronic door latches in the aviator are missing, and then you can't get those perfect position seats that adjust in up to 30 ways.
I love those.
However, these ultra comfort seat still adjust enough to 20 two different directions so it's hardly a privation.
There are also new materials in here, including real wood trim and Chrome accents, plus a couple different colors are offered for customers that only want the best two different super premium black label themes will be offered including Chalet which is what we have here.
You can see a lot of contrast with light and dark and then flight will also be offered which has a lot of rich Brown colors and very cool Engin turned accents.
Black label customers also get premium maintenance.
Complimentary car washes.
And free annual detailing.
So there's a lot more to that package than just a fancy interior and a higher monthly payment.
Now you may have noticed one other thing in here.
The screen popping up from the dashboard.
It measures an impressive 132.
inches, which makes it the largest display currently offered in any Lincoln.
Now this is home to a new sink for info.
Tainment system with a new visual theme called Constellation.
What that includes a bunch of subtle blue and.
Orange accents that were supposedly inspired by the evening Sky and overall the system looks pretty cool and it seems to be very responsive, so overall this should be a win for Lincoln.
For added convenience, both sink four and the vehicles modem can receive over the air updates.
Of course, there's plenty of other technology to talk about.
The Nautilus finally gains Lincolns Nifty phone as a key feature, which allows drivers to access their vehicle using a mobile device instead of the traditional key fob.
You don't have to carry this thing around in your pocket or purse anymore, so you can basically start the engine locker, unlock the doors, pop the rear liftgate all using a supported smart phone.
The 2021 Nautilus will come with plenty of standard equipment, though features like a 360 degree camera, adaptive cruise control with stop and go functionality as well as Lane centering will all be included in the Lincoln Co Pilot 360 plus options package.
As before, the 2021 Lincoln Nautilus will be built in Oakville ON Canada, though it will also be assembled in China for local consumption where of course they also build the Aviator and Corsair SUV S now As for pricing and fuel economy, nothing is official just yet, but I've got to imagine the eficiency scores are going to be the same as the outgoing model.
Also, pricing is going to creep up depending on trim level by about 1000$, so expect this 2021 non list A kickoff-.
At about 43 grand, including 995 in destination fees anyway, you can look for this vehicle at Lincoln dealerships early next year.
