WWDC going fully online, Xbox 20/20 starts this week

This is CNET and here are the stories that matter right now. Apple's 31st annual Worldwide Developers Conference or WWDC for short, will kick off on June 22nd. This year the conference will move entirely online due to the pandemic Allowing millions of developers to get early access to upcoming updates for iOS, iPad OS, Mac OS, watch OS and TV OS. The company also announced this swift student challenge, a new coding contest for student developers of any age across the globe to build an interactive scene that can be experienced in three minutes or less. [MUSIC] Facebook is working on multiple potential successors to the quest. Bloomberg is reporting including some that are smaller, lighter and have better refresh rates. The new headsets in development the report continues, will also feature redesigned controllers. By going lighter the quest would in theory be more comfortable to wear for longer sessions. with Bloomberg reporting that the ones in testing way close to a pound compared to the pound and a quarter of the original while still being able to be used independently of a computer, the outlet says it will be able to be connected to a PC via the Oculus link cable. And finally, Microsoft is starting an Xbox 20/20 monthly event on Thursday. The first in a series of monthly shows about the series x. Almost everything about the new console has been revealed with the exception of games. Third Party titles such as Assassin's Creed Valhalla will be in the spotlight as Microsoft reveals gameplay trailers and sneak peeks of what's coming to the platform.
