The latest details of Google's Nexus 9 and Nexus 6

Services & Software
Googilicious. [MUSIC] What's happening Brian Tong here and welcome to Googlilicious for all the Google goodness that we can pack inside of a show, it's all about Google's Nexus line this week. And we start off with leaked images from upleaks of what is believed to be the new ATC built Nexus 9 tablet. Now you can also see the backing looks to maintain its rubberized surface that you can find on the current Nexus 10. The new Nexus 9 also recently passed through FCC testing. After document noticed by blog of mobile, showed the device with model number 0p82100 with matches exactly what appeared in leaks earlier this year. Now the documents confirmed blue tooth and NFS capability and could point to a release around the same time as the Nexus,. Six but no other specs like the processor have been confirmed just yet. The documents confirm Bluetooth and NFC capability. And could point to a release around the same time as the Nexus 6. But no other specs like the processor have been confirmed just yet. And, speaking of that Nexus 6 or Nexus X, android police has posted pictures of google's next phone or phablet inside some sorta a snap on case. This is in the wild. Now, you can see the power and volume buttons positioned closer to the middle thanks to its 5.92 inch screen. And, rumors still point to a mid-October, early November launch. And, the leaks, yes they keep coming, the Motorola Shamu, a.k.a. that Nexus 6, was spotted on the Geekbench benchmark website. Impressive results show the Nexus 6 beating the scores. Of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in multi-core performance with a score of 3199. Now this really looks to be one of the most impressive phones on the market, with a quad-core SnapDragon processor, clocked at 2.65 gigahertz and three gigs of RAM running on pure Android L. And you know. The Fandroids are just salivating for this. And if you're worried about how big a phone like that will be YouTuber [UNKNOWN] did a fun little comparison from a rendered mock up to give you an idea of how big this phone really is compared to others out on the market. He compares it to the Note 3, the Galaxy S5, and LG G3. And the iPhone 6, and some others. And now that we're use to seeing big screen phones that are like holding a piece of toast. They're not so big anymore. So yeah. I'm ready for the seven inch screen phone movement next year. All right we've talked about Google X and their big project ideas. What else are they working on these days? Well according to The Wall Street Journal Google's X-men are developing seamless wall-sized screens. That are basically giant TVs made up of many smaller displays. Piece together to create one single screen now the report describes them as plugging the smaller screens together like legos no word how far along they are with the project but it's pretty clear where this will get adopted first Las Vegas, [MUSIC] And no I don't really dance like that. Alright and a few Samsung stories leaked documents spotted by Jeeper Games reveals Sammy is planning a December first launch for its new VR headset that pairs with the Note 4. Now the document which isn't necessarily final also claims the headset will retail for 200,000 won in Korea. That's only about $187 in the US so we'll see how this story shakes out closer to the holidays. Also newly released renders from Phone Arena claim to show off the Samsung Galaxy A5 which is planned to be their premium materials line of phone that will not have a plastic body. Rumors of a lower NA3 and higher NA7 are believed to be coming as with the A5 retailing for around $400. And if you guys thought Bend Gate was over. Samsung wants to make clear. They have put their Galaxy Note to the test to make sure it will not bend in your back pocket. No in additional to the usual stress test. Samsung goes the extra mile for the consumer. Using their human weight test simulating a 100 kilogram man. Sitting on the phone. Just think about it, someone had to make that prop and my favorite part of this, the booty bounce test. All important in the name of science. Alright, that's going to do it for this week's show. You can always e-mail us at googlicious@cnet.com or tweet me at @briantong. Thanks so much for watching and we'll see you all next time for some more. Of that Googlicious. [MUSIC] Oh. [MUSIC] Dig it. Yes. [MUSIC] Googlicious.
