This is a simple dual bay NAS server that comes with 2 hard drives already installed. Actually the design of the servers are just that you are not supposed to service the hard drive yourself, there's no easy way to access them. Out of the box the 2 hard drives are configured in red 1 but you can change that to red 0 for better performance and more storage. However red 1 is recommended for data protection. Apart from the included storage the server does not come with much else. It only has 2 USB port to support extra storage and printers on the back and that's it there's no front USB port, no ESATA ports or no support for USB or IP camera either. The server does offer good performance in our testing and it also comes with a very easy to use free vendor assisted remote access solution. The BlackArmor 220 comes with 2 versions 4 TB and 2 TB that cost around $600 and $400 respectively. These are very good prices for the amount of storage you get. Beside from business environment the Black Armor is not easy to use for home novice users however advanced user can figure it out fairly easily.
