>> David Katzmaier from CNET here and I'm next to the Panasonic TH-50PF11UK. This is a professional monitor. It's not strictly a television, although you can definitely use it as a TV in your house, you just have to know a few things that differentiate it from the consumer TVs on the market. Fist of all, it doesn't come with any speakers, so you need an external sound system. The stand is also extra, so if you wanna put it on a table, or hang it on the wall across walnut is actually as it is normally. This TV also doesn't have any sort of tuners, so if you wanna watch TV on this thing you're gonna have to connect it to a external cable box or satellite box. So otherwise the performance is very similar, we get to that in a second. But first of all, you'll notice the styling is really minimal on this TV around the edge of the screen, there's just this thin black border that's really nothing else going on. So if you like that minimal no-nonsense sort of professional look, this is one of the best TV for -- it's also built like a tank. It weighs a lot more than a lot of the other plasmas and its pretty solid construction throughout. The back panels also lets as far as the consumers sets will find just two HDMI inputs, one component video input and a PC input in the component video port requires this special BNC adapter if you wanna use it with your normal gear. The menu system is another give-away, it's really small and really doesn't have the kind of user-friendliness that you'll find in a lot of the menu systems on TVs today, but it does offer of course a full white balance controls and there's also a gamma setting, there's a number of other settings that advanced users can take advantage of, including a full function picture and picture and even the ability to hey create a multi-wall if you want with more than one of these monitors again that's usually for professionals, but all in all, it's one of the more complete menu system once you get over its usability issues. It does have excellent black levels, it's color accuracy especially after calibration again very good, although we did notice the green primary was pretty far off, so if that's a big sticky point this might not be the set for you. Otherwise, though its performance was extremely good. Again this is a professional monitor, but its prize point is right around that of consumer TVs maybe a little bit more expensive. If you want that minimal look, this might be the way it go. This is Quick Look at the Panasonic TH-50PF11UK and I'm David Katzmaier.
