>> Hi, I'm Will Greenwald, assistant editor at CNET.com and this is our look at the Olympus FE290. This is part of the Olympus's FE series, simple to use, sort of basic level cameras. It has only a seven mega pixel sensor, but it has a nice lens, 28 mm wide angle, and it has a four X zoom. So you can get a little bit closer up and a little bit wider than most other compact, basic point and shoot camera lenses, which tend to be 35mm wide and maybe a three X zoom lens. Now it uses Olympus's true pick three image processor, which means it should be a little faster and produce a little bit nicer photos than its past generation. It also is a 3 inch LCD which is nice and big, you can use it to frame up your shots which you will need to because it doesn't have an optical viewfinder that you can use to review your shots. Now unlike some previous FE cameras which pretty much automated everything, you actually can change settings like iso-sensitivity and white balance by going into the program shooting mode, which is a good thing to find even on a FE camera. Besides that, this is pretty much a basic straightforward wide angled seven mega pixel shooter. I'm Will Greenwald and this is the Olympus FE290.
