Lenovo Chromebook has a killer keyboard and 180-degree hinge

If you want a basic, affordable laptop for work or school, the Lenovo ThinkPad 13 Chromebook is worth checking out.
But before I tell you more about it, let me set the record straight.
Lenovo has another laptop also called the ThinkPad 13.
But that one's a Windows 10 model.
The one I'm talking about here is a Chromebook.
Chromebooks are simple laptops that aren't as powerful as Windows 10 laptops.
And that's why they're cheaper.
Now that we cleared that up, back to the good stuff the Chromebook version of the Lenovo ThinkPad 13 has to offer.
So 13-inch laptops typically have keyboards that feel a little cramped.
Yet the Lenovo's keys feel pleasantly roomy and spacious.
Each key is springy, fast to respond, and ever-so-slightly concave.
Making them comfortable for your fingertips to rest on.
If you've gotta crank out midterm essays, detailed spreadsheets, or Chromebook reviews, this is the kind of keyboard you wanna be typing on.
Unfortunately, though, it's not backlit.
The laptop's 13.3 inch screen can tilt back 180 degrees.
It looks a little silly on a flat surface, but it really comes in handy when you're sitting in an unconventional seat.
It allows for the screen to tilt back as far as you need to get the right angle for your viewing position.
Importantly, its battery also lasts long enough to get you through a work or school day.
In our battery testing, it averaged a little over eight hours.
Pricing starts at $439 but it can balloon up to over $800 if you add on special extras like a faster processor or touch screen.
If you simply need a modest Chromebook with a killer keyboard for working and writing, consider the Lenovo ThinkPad 13.
