Intel's drone show turns Las Vegas into a real bright-light city
[MUSIC]
We're gonna see an Intel Shooting Star Drone Light Show.
We've worked with Belagio to put on this drone light show at the fountains of Belagio.
We'll have it throughout CES, twice a night And you'll see 250 Intel Shooting Stars light up the sky.
But this drone in specific is just built for drone light shows.
So the Intel Shooting Star drone doesn't have any cameras or any other sensors.
It just has a LED payload and just really good precision to make sure that we can paint the sky with the right animation, In terms of software we have thought about everything from the animation to the simulations, to even controlling the whole fleet.
All of these drones, let it be a 10 or 100 or even 500 or more, they're all controlled by one pilot and one control center.
So we have a brilliant animation team.
They have a very diverse background.
Some of them have worked with drones, some of them have worked in the Makes you space for a long time.
And what they do is, they hear a song, they understand what sort of concepts the customer wants to create or what we wanna to create, and we create a story board, and what we could possibly do with this number of drones, so 250 in this case.
Some things or some themes that we want to highlight, like having stars in the sky so we put that into The animation tool and then we'd also check what the visual experience is like for everyone around us.
We can actually say, okay, this is what we need in camera four.
What does it look like from here?
We want to make sure that when we create a drone light show we're thoughtful.
We're thoughtful about where we put the drones as well as the perspectives that everyone sees.
We wanna make sure that it's safe from end to end.
So this is why we've built an Intel Shooting Star that's made out of plastic and foam.
It's 330 grams, which is the weight of a volleyball.
It's encased with prop cages.
We thought about safety on the software side too.
We have two geofences, we have visual observers everywhere, just to make sure that if there's an external aircraft we can call down our fleet and make sure everyone is safe.
So we're really excited to be at the Belagio at CES.
We wanted to start off the year with a bang, and we wanted to think a little bit about how we can, essentially what drone light shows could be.
We wanted to push the technology, and we said, what if we integrated fountains into our drone light show?
Obviously the first thing that came to us was the iconic sounds of Bluagile.
And we said we want to work with Bluagile, we wanna see how we can make this happen for CES.
