There's so much buzz.
The fandom is at an ultimate high.
Geek Pop Culture fans How does that make you feel being involved in a movie like that?
I mean it's thrilling.
It's absolutely fantastic and you know it's about time.
You know at last you know an African American superhero that everyone is dying to see and an entire cast, pretty much.
Of great African American actors.
And working with Ryan Coogler, who's such a brilliant director.
He's so witty, he's cool as anything.
And yeah, I mean, the anticipation is huge.
And people won't be disappointed, I think it's gonna be cool as hell.
You play Ulysses Klaue
You're such a well spoken, nice, happy guy but Claw is gritty and dirty.
Can you tell us about that character that you play?
And where do you get all that dirty stuff from?
Well, you know we've all got darkness within us, don't we?
And I have probably got my fair share, and But he is very, very driven by the sense of wanting to uncover what he sees as a hypocrisy.
Also this ties in with his obsession with the vibranium.
And also his working with an alms leader around the world.
He knows how to manipulate.
And he knows how to
He certainly would have governments hanging off the edge of their seats with what he knows about them.
He'd fit very well into this world.
So, yeah, I know, he is a dark character, but he's also kind of left-field and mischievous and slightly crazy as well.
[LAUGH] So he's a great, really good fun character to play.
Now, we know, obviously, you are appearing as yourself, we see your face and everything as Claw.
Your hand is this kind of prosthetic with the sonic gun You know, you being so well versed in motion capture, did you have to teach your hand any tricks or acting skills for its debut at this sonic gun prosthetic?
[LAUGH] It helps-
Did you talk to it?
-it does help, it helps to have that kind of sense of physical control, for sure.
So, yeah, yeah, I mean that was very much part of it.
Did you enjoy not being in a suit?
Or does it feel the same to you?
I never draw a distinction between acting in a performance capture suit and in a costume.
I really genuinely, the process of acting is exactly the same.
