I never thought I'd say this but we apparently live in a world where Tesla's our next gen gaming consoles with AMD chips inside 2021 is wild, y'all.

AMD is everywhere right now.
It's in your PlayStation five, your Xbox series x, a ton of gaming PCs, and now it's gonna be in your Tesla.
Sort of, like with all things Elon.
It's a little complicated and has some caveats, so let's discuss.
Back in January Elon pulled his Twitter followers and asked if they'd want to play the witcher from the comfort of their Tesla's.
After a resounding yes results, Tesla's site included Information showing off higher end games on the infotainment screen was some very interesting target stats.
Unfortunately though they didn't offer a ton of details on how exactly they plan to make it happen.
Now we know more AMD confirmed its partnering with TESLA to bring this gaming experience to their cars.
And the guts are nothing to sneeze at.
It will have an AMD RYZEN APU with integrated graphics combined with an AMD RDNA 2 GPU.
Now if you're thinking I feel like I've heard that term somewhere before, it's because you have.
Our DNA to is the same architecture powering the Xbox series x and the PlayStation five.
Well this isn't exactly the same one inside those consoles but it's pretty dang close.
I'll let AMD CEO Lisa Sue give you a little taste of what to expect.
We have an embedded AMD ryzen APU.
Powering the infotainment system in both cars as well as a discreet our DNA to base GPU that kicks in when running triple A games providing up to 10 teraflops of compute power.
We are thrilled to be working with Tesla to bring the power of rise And Raytheon to their newest flagship cars, and look forward to giving gamers a great new platform for triple A gaming.>> [APPLAUSE]
This all sounds pretty awesome and lays a foundation for some sweet triple A game action while we all wait for our Tesla's to fill up at the local supercharger, right?
There kind of, how much money you got stashed away,and how much patience do you have?
Because this partnership currently only extends to the refreshed Model S and the Model X, and those don't come cheap, the refresh the Model S starts at around at $78,000.
And the model X's price tag starts at just under 90,000 bucks.
Without full self-driving that's 10,000 extra dollars.>> And remember I mentioned patients, the base model S doesn't currently ship until six timber slash [UNKNOWN].
So I hope you've been gaining lots of XP and leveling up your endurance over the past year.
Maybe you've seen so many out of stock notifications and shopping cart errors trying to buy a PlayStation five that you're numb to it at this point, look, I don't know your life.
Anyway, let's talk about the future and how Tesla might leverage this.
Number one is cloud gaming.
Obviously Microsoft and Sony are working on expanding their rollout of each company's respective game streaming services.
And Tesla with similar architecture as consoles makes it an easier way.
I'll jump into a couple rounds of Halo Infinite multiplayer while you hang at a supercharger.
It kind of solves one of the issues some people have with charging an electric vehicle that it takes way longer than hitting the gas station.
We also know Tesla is working on faster charging all the time.
I'm especially at superchargers.
But something like cloud gaming or remote play for your home console would definitely make waiting easier while you're out on the road.

There is an interesting little tidbit going on kind of parallel to all of this AMD news.
Teslas use Linux to power their OS and there's a new job listing for the company that starts with, some of you might have heard our dear techno king is bullish on games and making an awesome platform for all gamers and Tesla vehicles.
Could Tesla be working on its own game store?
Obviously, subscriptions and Software as a Service are huge moneymakers for other companies, so I don't doubt that would be very appealing to Tesla.
And before I forget, you can in fact run x cloud in a Linux web browser.
And there's at least one third party developer out there making a PS 5 Remote Play client for Linux users, so very curious.
Okay, back to harnessing the power of this AMD partnership.
The next tier of full self driving needs a huge amount of processing power and this is obviously a great step in the right direction.
We've all seen the full self driving data visualizations.
There is no doubt About how much information is being parsed every single second while you're out on the road in Tesla, and this AMD partnership hopefully means better, faster, more capable brains at the root of Tesla's full self driving efforts.
Unfortunately, there is no word on when or even if These chips will trickle down to the model y and the model three a both of those cars got to refresh earlier this year.
So I don't foresee them getting yet another update anytime soon.
Plus Tesla has hiked the price of all its cars This year in fact, due to increasing demand and supply chain shortages, so I'm guessing they still want those two models to seem affordable compared to the s and the x.
So not sexy.
