Acer's easel-flipping laptop stands out among gaming hardware
[MUSIC]
When you visit Acer at CES, you know you're gonna see something different.
We had to start out in this, the Thronos Air gaming cabinet.
I'm gonna tell you more about that in a bit, but I wanna start out now by showing you something that Acer just announced, this is the ConceptD 7 Ezel pro and not a gaming thing, but certainly design that you're not going to see anywhere else.
With this pool display that has the articulated hinge, kind of a new take on a convertible tablet.
Ezel clearly thinks it's onto something with this distinctive articulating hinge display.
Previously, it was exclusive to the company's predator Triton gaming laptops, but it's now added a modified version of it to its concept D line of hardware for creatives.
Starting at 30 $100, the concept D seven easel pro swaps out some of the Tritons Gaming specific features And gives you all the things that will make hardcore media users happy.
The display makes it easy to work in laptop or tablet mode and collaborate, and the keyboard is always face-up.
The hardware is heavy duty workstation fare.
Think Xeon processors and RTX GPUs.
But there's also a non-pro version.
That starts at 2700.
So on the other end of the spectrum, we have tasers new swift three.
This has Intel's new Athena processor inside, which is going to give you performance.
It's a little bit more like a smartphone and less like a laptop.
So when I open this up, it'll turn right on.

Acer Swift 3 has been around for years.
And it's usually a pretty whole home affair.
But 2020's Intel Athena upgrade changes the equation for this otherwise pretty standard $700 business laptop.
Top.
The instant wake up feature could seal the deal for folks frustrated with waiting for their PCs to turn on.
But there's also significantly longer battery life in the range of 12 to 16 hours according to Acer.
So next we have Acer's predator x 32 display.
This is not the largest display that Acer has at the show this year, but it's definitely its most advanced.
Gamers wanna play on the cutting edge wanna display that can hang with the rest of their hardware, and the predator x 32 has specs in spades.
HDR 1000.
Giza display certified 1000 Up to 1000 nits of brightness.
What does any of that mean?
individual pixel control, peak brightness, super dark blacks in superior contrast, but it'll cost you.
It starts at 30 $500.
Of course, that's nothing next to the throne, those areas The streamlined follow up to acers ridiculous $30,000 photos gaming cabin.
First announced at IFA, the $14,000 air is insanely expensive for a gaming chair, but a relative bargain next to the $30,000 original And though it's stripped down and less motorized, it still delivers a compelling and immersive experience that's sure to attract a crowd, whether it's parked at CES or in your living room.
So this is Acer's kronos air, this is the follow on to the first generation for Kronos, which was about $30,000.
They call it a gaming cabin.
The goal here with both of these [UNKNOWN] things is to create an extremely immersive experience.
So you can see I'm in a special gaming chair.
I've got these car door looking things that open, three panels here, supercharged gaming hardware in the back.
The goal here is to make you feel like you are not even playing a game, but really racing this car.
This will be available in March for $14,000, so start saving up.
