Vizio's 7-inch tablet makes underwhelming debut
This nameless tablet isn't as impressive as its 10-inch Vizio counterpart.
LAS VEGAS--Vizio brought a pair of nameless tablets to CES 2013 that we'd like to get to know better, but unfortunately the smaller of the pair also happens to be a bit of a party pooper.
The supersimple unnamed 7-inch tablet runs Android 4.2 and houses Nvidia's Tegra 3 CPU. The tablet is lightweight and features a Micro-USB port and a front-facing camera.
The 7-inch tablet would be more impressive if its specs resembled the other unnamed tablet Vizio brought to CES 2013. The more exciting of the two is a 10-inch Android 4.2 tablet that features the superfast Nvidia Tegra 4 quad-core processor and a 2,560x1,600-pixel resolution.
The Vizio 7-inch tablet seems to be a very simple design geared toward customers who want something basic, so its price will determine if it's a better buy than some already low-priced 7-inch tablets with more impressive specifications.
Vizio hasn't released many details including pricing and availability for its pair of tablets premiering at CES 2013, so check back at CNET for future updates.
