i don't think it's very hard to rip a cd and convert it to MP3 format. You could do this with freeware and I could teach anyone to do this for themselves.

... does the MP3 conversion for free, and it's fast.

And I don't know if I could ever trust a Music Miner to figure out
the range of music I like.

But, if she sells, she sells..... :-)
