Senators plan shakeup of spy agencies

A bill introduced Tuesday in response to the 9/11 Commission's recent report would embrace biometric IDs, force drivers' licenses to be standardized, and undertake the monumental task of making sure that the computers used in U.S. spy agencies can talk to each other.

The legislation, sponsored by senators John McCain, R-Ariz., and Joe Lieberman, D-Conn., represents a sweeping reorganization of the agencies engaged in intelligence activity and would create a new post of national intelligence director.

"Congress must act with dispatch to carefully consider the recommendations of the 9/11 Commission and to enact needed changes to further secure our homeland," McCain said. "We continue to confront grave threats, and there is no greater priority than ensuring the safety of our country."

The 281-page bill is lengthy and complex. Some of its sections would:

•  "Centralize" the controversial no-fly and automatic-selectee lists, which are designed to weed out suspicious air travelers, in an attempt to create a more accurate terrorist watch list.

•  Require that all state drivers' licenses and ID cards follow a wealth of standards to be set by the federal government, including a rule that licenses must sport "a digital photograph or other unique identifier." Federal agencies won't be allowed to honor ID cards that don't follow those regulations.

•  Create an "automated biometric entry and exit data system" to track certain immigrants and visa holders. The system would be intended to link "all databases and data systems" maintained by federal agencies with authority over immigration.

•  Establish an "integrated screening" computer system that would be used to verify the identities of anyone who wishes to access certain government buildings, privately owned "critical infrastructure," and transportation systems such as rail or air.

•  Set minimum anticounterfeiting standards for birth certificates. Two years after the bill becomes law, federal agencies would be prohibited from accepting birth certificates that did not adhere to those standards.

Some of the most far-reaching reforms cover the way federal agencies will share data, including through computer networks. The bill orders the president to create an "information sharing network" to swap data between "all relevant" federal and state agencies as well as the private sector.

The chief information officer of what would become the National Intelligence Authority would be responsible for the monumental task of creating an "enterprise architecture for the intelligence community."

Among the requirements: that agencies have "direct and continuous electronic access" to all relevant information, including classified information; that "duplicate information technology" is eliminated; and that standards would be developed that would "apply throughout the intelligence community."

The American Civil Liberties Union on Tuesday expressed concerns about some of the bill's sections.

Federal standards for drivers' licenses would become "a bureaucratic back-door attempt to create a national ID card system and a serious threat to privacy, liberty and safety," the ACLU said in a statement. "Racial, religious or ethnic profiling, and illegal discrimination could increase, and failure to carry an ID would become an added pretext for the unwarranted search, detention and arrest of minorities."

McCain and Lieberman say they hope to persuade the Senate to approve some version of their bill by early October.

Realize this!
Maybe the general public should take a minute to understand that there cell phones track them everywhere they go. I'm not going into specifics but check out this link [http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/cell-phone5.htm] and you will never look at your cell phone let alone the government the same way.

Now that you know what your cell phone is capable of, all the government is saying is, "Hey, if a cop pulls you over in ANY state, than the information that is sent to the officer would be from a nation-wide database." If the suspect in the cop car has a standard, forged ID, than it is possible that the cop would let the suspect/murder go. Now, with the Governments proposal for an Universal ID System the information collected from the suspect would nearley be impossible to forge. If I lost my ID I could securely log online, call a Government number, or stop by the cop shop. Let them know that I just lost my ID. They issue you a new ID number on the spot, and bam, the criminal that might of got away is now safely in jail. I feel safer, don't you?

How about the criminals in other countries
Protecting USA alone will it help reduce terrorism in the country? Such measures must be imposed accross all the countries in the world, so that criminals can be eliminated from the entire planet.

They Think They Are SLICK!
The time is now! The REAL ID Act will be in effect this year! DON'T BE A FOOL! BE SAFE! Just think! Maybe your ID will open the door to your home! You may have to scan it when you enter a Store! I know of one place in Chicago, a liquor store, where you must scan your ID before you can enter! What if this becomes a requirement (ID Scanning) for all places of business? HMMMM! A Bar Code is on the Real ID like we are Purchasable Products (MODERN DAY SLAVERY). Once you are sixteen (16) you can be sold! (cause you are of legal age to recieve a Driver Licsense)

They think they are slick! If you used your DEBIT CARD anywhere, in the same fashion as I, YOU TOO HAVE BEEN and ARE BEING WATCHED! Now what I see to happen with the Real ID is, you will have the option to have your Real ID card also be used as your Debit Card. Think about it! How convenient it would be to have your money on your ID CARD! "Can you say SECURITY?" HMMMMM! They will not have to put the (RFID) chip in the card because every time you make a purchase, guess what? your whereabouts are documented (secured). Do you remember "Bank of America" put the photo of the card holder on their (The Card Holders) Debit Card? I wanted to open an account with them when I first heard about it. This was step one: Introduce the Real ID through the support of a Bank. Now "Bank of America is issuing "debit Card to "Illegal Immigrants". Have you heard of the "North American Union"? Watch out for everything "Bank of America" and its "Parent" company purchase.

Then, what if they allow you to allow your job to deposit directly to your account the full amount of your wages without any taxes being withheld, because it will automatically be done upon the deposit? You will not have to file taxes again cause they will determine if you are subject to a return. Remember, they know, when you, where you and what you spent your money on. The "RFID" chip that they wanted people to have inserted under their skin is obsolete. It is now in your Passport! They already know if you leave the coutry. They know where you were and how long you stayed.

Cash Out! Find out if your Bank have Safe Deposit Boxes, Stache Your Cash! The best thing is to invest in "Items of Value". But...! What if they just stop printing "Paper Currency?" There is no way around it!

The time is now! Forget about buying Houses, Cars, Boats and Timeshares. What you need to do is buy "LAND-REAL ESTATE". So what!? You own a house! AND...? You don't own the land your house is built on! When whomever it is that own the land your house is built on come and say "I want my land back now..." what are you going to do... move your house? YEAH RIGHT! With what money!? You are still making mortgage payments on your house! OK sell it to the people that own the land! Now you can say that you are "HOMELESS" You might get just enough to pay off the "Mortgage Loan" Now, if, you want to continue living in this house, you can pay rent and it will be the same amount as you were paying on your Mortgage Loan, How convenient. I think we all must scrape what family we have left together and purchase "Land-Real Estate and then build your home," "Precious Metals (a substitute for cash)," and "Items of Value". Start a Business and make it grow! Seek the TRUTH and it will set you Free!

Real ID/ Passport
+ Direct deposit/ Instant Tax/ Debit Card
+ Cancellation of Paper Currency
= Modern Day Slavery
