I have this feeling that if the patent office went through all the patents and did a real good job investigating all the patents for things that nullify them most patents would be invalidated.

I agree. I have a feeling that when this case is fully examined that
NTP's patents will not stand at all. And it is a shame that such a
promising device and service technology is being harmed by patent
claims that are currently failing to pass re-examination.
