Yes, it is government, but not yours

When you write that some claim the government is responsible for the catastrophe, you must mean 'U.S. government', but please remember that no matter how big and important you are, the USA is not your only audience. A little more respect for the world, please.

As for governments being responsible, then I would agree. It was the Indonesian government that did nothing for all the hours the wave travelled from its shores to Sri Lanka, India and Africa. It was government that turned a local disaster into a regional catastrophe.
