- The EU seems like a interesting experiment of a pending confederacy, a week central government overseeing sovereign states. Much like the US started with the Articals of Confederation, which historically is a system doomed to change into a federation. Looking at the US as a model it would appear like the week central government will continue to powergrab eventually establishing a strong federalist system.
