High definition, or just digital?
Are these companies actually planning to put 720+ lines of resolution on a cell phone, or is it a sub-HD digital signal? Can a customer actually tell the difference on a 2" screen? You would think it would be a waste of bandwidth.

yep....
You said it. Another article full of bologna. Cellular networks don't come anywhere close to delivering the bandwidth necessary for hi-def video feeds. And the technology scheduled for release within the timeline of this article will not change that fact. And like you said... a pocket-sized screen with low-resolution display is NOT hi-def. Even my iPaq with its "big" screen only runs 320x240.

I can't imagine what this article is trying to accomplish. I'll believe it when I see it.
