A taste of their own medicine
I hope some of these companies start getting sued for "inevitable infringement". You see even large companies like Microsoft getting frequently sued for patent infringement, so it only makes sense (as much as the "inevitable disclosure"), that many "new" products that the companies try to develop would "inevitable infringe" on the patents that other companies hold.

Therefore, those companies should be able to sue and prevent other companies from trying to develop products that they feel would "inevitable infringe" on their patents.

Maybe if this happened a few times, these companies would see the error of their ways and throw this whole "inevitable" pile of crap away!

Insane
The way corporations want things to go is to never allow employees to leave, and be able to enforce it legally.

What is Lee supposed to do? Suffer at MS or stop working in his chosen profession. Corporations are getting too much power, and need to be curtialied against these kinds of abuses.

That a court could even entertain this lawsuit shows that our courts are equally insane and out of touch.
