Two little birds, sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G. One's name is Wayne Cunningham, the others is 2013 BMW 640i Gran Coupe. You can read all about their 4.5-star love affair, which resulted in the highest rating we've given to anything this week. But please know that unless you're rolling in cash, this is a recreational read only. This tech-friendly beauty (with built-in chair massage) costs $76,000.

For real, live, normal people, we've reviewed plenty more exciting and affordable tech, including Apple's latest OS X release, Mountain Lion. Jason Parker took a deep dive into the incremental update ($20 for a number of expanded features) and found the newest version of the Mac OS...wait, I'm not going to give this away. You'll have to read the review. Let's just say that in a standoff between the relatively small changes to this OS and the giant changes coming to Windows with Windows 8, Parker has his odds on Apple.

This week's roundup of top-rated gear also includes everything we've awarded three-and-a-half stars or above in our rating scale, including the four-star Sony Vaio S Series 13P, which Scott Stein says beats a certain 13-inch pro machine from a certain famous Cupertino-based maker, and the Asus Zenbook UX32VD, which Dan Ackerman says almost has it all. Almost.
