Angry Birds tangible slingshot controller lets you get hands-on
Take out those evil piggies in style with Super Angry Birds, a prototype physical slingshot controller that brings the physics battle into the real world.
Maybe they should rename this "Super Pig Blaster."

Students at the Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design have given Angry Birds a whole new dimension with the creation of a physical slingshot controller for the desktop version of the game.
The project is called Super Angry Birds and its creation involved quite a bit of hacking, the integration of an Arduino controller, and a whole lot of mathematical calculations.
The result is a nifty device that mimics the feel of a slingshot. A small TNT box with a push-down handle covers the rest of the game's needed controls.
While the controller is a prototype, I could see a market for this sort of device, especially if you could connect it to a tablet. It would add a lot of fun to a game that has been around for a while.
Check out the Super Angry Birds controller in action below as it wrecks pig fortresses with abandon.
