T-Mobile CEO John Legere took to Twitter late Friday to update customers about a network service issue that had been vexing some subscribers. Given that he has fewer than 9,000 followers, the majority of the affected T-Mobile subscribers probably didn't catch his tweets, but he heard their complaints.

Legere has been undeterred in his quest to make T-Mobile, at the bottom of the heap among U.S. carriers, more personal, competitive and aggressive in its marketing and customer service. He has called the wireless carrier industry "stupid, broke and arrogant," and describes T-Mobile as the "Un-carrier."
In its the second quarter of 2013, T-Mobile added 1.1 million new customers, including 688,000 "postpaid" customers, who have have good credit ratings and pay at the end of each month. The company expects to nearly double the number of new postpaid customers by the end of 2013.
