Good news everyone! Samsung has finally made it known when its much anticipated handset, the Galaxy S III, will be launched. While rumors had earlier pegged the event to be held on May 22 in London, the official invite sets a much earlier date of May 3.

While no specs have been revealed so far, earlier rumors suggest it'll sport a 4.6-inch Super AMOLED Plus display with a quad-core Exynos chipset.

There's also talk of a ceramic finish, similar to the HTC One S. These are all merely speculations and not much more has been revealed by the official invite -- it shows just blobs of a blue and white liquid and the words "Come and meet the next Galaxy."

We've contacted Samsung for more information.
