Who does it help?

This only helps the casino. It will aide in catching people who "top off" extra chips on winning stacks and palm chips from losing stacks.

The only way it can help the public is if they keep track of the customer stacks also.

When someone palms a chip the camera will see their hand and the count will drop as the hand is pulled away but the article specifically says they are only detecting betted chips.

Go the extra buck and protect us too!

Who is cheating Who?

RFID chips are being used by casinos to stop cheaters, however who is doing the cheating? If playing cards contain RFID chip laminated on inlet paper, then can a casino use this information to tell a player at the table by radio signal what the flop, turn and river card will be? The answer is Yes. So who is cheating now? Why did casinos not tell people that they were using this technology more than 10 years ago?Why are roulette balls made of piezo-electric ceramic known as ELECTRET material that can hold a charge on the surface of the ball? Why do roulette wheels have IGBT transistors under the aluminum spoons if the public was cheating? Maybe I should be working for the Casino Control Commission?
