Best Buy gains Velocity
Best Buy gains Velocity
Richmond, Virginia-based computer maker Velocity Micro announced in a joint statement with Best Buy on July 11 that, beginning in early August, the PC vendor will provide fixed-configuration gaming PCs to an as-yet-undetermined number of stores of the electronics retailing mammoth nationwide. However wide the distribution, we think this is great news. Hard-core gaming vendors, such as Alienware and others, have tried to go brick-and-mortar before with little success. Hopefully, Velocity Micro will have better luck in bringing the joys of proper gaming PCs to the non-Web-shopping masses.
