Apple has modified its upgrade pricing structure for Mac OS X 10.2 (Jaguar). Now, any user who purchased a boxed copy of Mac OS X 10.1 after July 17th are eligible for the $19.95 upgrade price.

Previously, only purchasers of a new Mac after July 17th were eligible for purchase of 10.2 at $19.95; all other purchasers would have been required to purchase 10.2 at the full retail price.

Apple has also changed its position on the Mac OS X Server 10.2:

"All Xserve customers that do not have Mac OS X Server v10.2 ' Jaguar Server' included can upgrade to Mac OS X Server v10.2 for US$19.95. All customers who purchased a Mac OS X Server retail product or Macintosh Server G4 that did not have Mac OS X Server v10.2 'Jaguar Server' included on or after July 17, 2002 and can upgrade to Mac OS X Server v10.2 for US$19.95."

Apple stated previously that purchasers of the Xserve would be responsible for the upgrade to 10.2 at the full price.
