Short Take: SkyLynx nets $5 million in financing

Wireless communications company SkyLynx Communications has completed a $5 million private placement and finished its network in Tampa, Florida. The company, which provides community-based shared wireless local area networks in cities with low skylines, also said it may acquire three Internet service providers in the Tampa area.
