It's not like we need more evidence that European cell phone users get all the good stuff. But this week, Nokia announced its 3250 handset: A combination smart phone/music phone, it has a rectangular yet cool twisting design that rotates 270 degrees. Features on this everything-but-the-kitchen-sink mobile include a fully stocked MP3 and AAC music player; the Symbian 6.0 OS; a 2-megapixel camera; Bluetooth (for headsets data transfers); video capture and playback for clips up to an hour; an FM radio; a 262,144-color display; world phone support (GSM 850/1800/1900); e-mail (POP3, IMAP4 and SMTP); text and multimedia messaging; voice command and dialing; basic PIM functions; gaming; and a WAP 2.0 wireless Web browser. Memory capacity is 10MB of integrated storage but expandable up to a generous 1GB with a Mini SD card. With that kind of space, you should be able to store about 750 songs. Data speeds are limited to GPRS and EDGE, but otherwise we like what we see.
