AT&T wins FirstGov contract
AT&T Government Solutions has been awarded a contract to supply Web hosting and security services to FirstGov, the federal government's information portal. The initial contract is for one year, with three one-year extension options, according to the General Services Administration. It is valued at $1.9 million per year. AT&T, which was the incumbent, also won a search engine contract for the FirstGov Web site.
Besides the FirstGov site, AT&T will provide hardware and support for some of the other 24 e-government projects that the Office of Management and Budget is sponsoring, the GSA said.
