Apple: update to iTunes 7.5 to solve various iPhone problems
If you're having problems syncing or restoring your iPhone, Apple recommends that you update to iTunes 7.5. A series of recently revised Knowledge Base articles suggest the update for problems including:
- Exception error when syncing with Yahoo! Address Book (could also be caused by an invalid email address present in your contact list)
- Error "0xE8000025" when syncing in iTunes for Windows (could also be caused by having non-standard ASCII characters in your account name)
- Error -48 when restoring iPhone (could also be cuased by a bad updater file -- empty ~/Library/iTunes/iPhone Software Updates under Mac OS X, C:/documents and settings/[yourusername]/Application Data/Apple Computer/iTunes/iPhone Software Updates under Windows XP or C:/users/[yourusername]/AppData/Roaming/Apple Computer/iTunes/iPhone Software Updates under Windows Vista and try the restore again)
- Error 1604 When restoring iPhone in iTunes (you can also try a different USB port or disconnecting other USB devices, or restarting your system)
- Error 11333 when connecting to iTunes Store or activating iPhone
If you cannot restore your iPhone, see this article and this Apple article for more fixes)
