Collaborative Software Initiative in Time Magazine

by Dave Rosenberg
  • Post a comment

Stuart Cohen enjoyed a lot of media attention in his days running Open Source Development Labs so it's good to see him back in the business press spreading to good word on open source with the new company he started about a year ago, Collaborative Software Initiative.

Today he and his team appear online at Time.com and will be in the July 14 Time Magazine print edition. The story talks about his latest project in the public health sector, which is interesting because it illustrates exactly how Collaborative Software Initiative is transforming the way software is developed in-house in vertical industries.

The electronic disease surveillance system his team is building for the State of Utah is adaptable in all 50 states and could even go global. And, that's just one market and one project.
