How it works
As with the other QX series cameras, you (optionally) clamp the camera to your phone; with the QX1, you then attach an E-Mount lens.

Power and storage
Like a regular camera, the QX1 has its own battery and storage, and like newer Wi-Fi-connected cameras will save simultaneously to the camera and the phone.
Tripod mount
You can mount the camera on a tripod or attach the new selfie-orientation grip.
Shutter button
If you're not operating the camera via your mobile device, you can shoot blindly with the on-camera shutter button.
NFC, no LCD
The camera uses NFC to initiate a Wi-Fi connection with your phone, and the small status LCD is the only display on the camera.
Compartment cover
The back of the camera has a flip-up cover over the battery and microSD card.
