Get a Closer Look at Google's Pixel Watch 2
The Pixel Watch 2 has the same elegant design as the first Pixel Watch.
Google Pixel Watch 2 - Design
The Pixel Watch 2 is a step up from the original that inherits Fitbit's stress tracking sensors, along with a more accurate heart-rate monitor and faster charging.
It launches on Oct. 12 starting at $350.
Google Pixel Watch 2 - Design
The Pixel Watch's design is very similar to that of the first model, making it one of the best-looking smartwatches around.
Google Pixel Watch 2 - Design
The major aesthetic difference between the first and second Pixel Watch is the new model's aluminum build. The first Pixel Watch had a stainless steel case.

But I don't mind this change considering it's the Pixel Watch 2's curved glass that really makes its design stand out among other smartwatches.
Google Pixel Watch 2- Crown
Google also upgraded the crown that sits on the watch's side.
Google Pixel Watch 2 - Crown
The Pixel Watch 2's crown feels much smoother and easier to twist compared to the first generation's.
Google Pixel Watch 2 - Size
Like the first Pixel Watch, the Pixel Watch 2 only comes in one 41-millimeter size option.
Google Pixel Watch 2 - Watch Face
While some prefer a petite watch, I imagine others would appreciate the option for a larger screen. That's especially true since the black bezels that frame the display can sometimes make the screen look slightly smaller. (Thankfully, those bezels blend in seamlessly with most watch faces and apps.)
Google Pixel Watch 2 - Google Pay
The Pixel Watch 2 is also compatible with Google Play Store apps and Google Wallet for contactless payments.
Google Pixel Watch 2 - Heart Rate
Google also improved the Pixel Watch's heart-rate sensor by adding more contact points on the watch's underside.
Google Pixel Watch 2 - Heart Rate
When reviewing the Pixel Watch 2, it provided readings that were similar to my Polar H10 chest strap heart-rate monitor.
Google Pixel Watch 2 - Battery
Google has changed the charging mechanism, enabling faster charging. But battery life still lasts for 24 hours (this time with the always-on display activated), which can make it hard to track sleep on a regular basis with the Pixel Watch 2.
Google Pixel Watch 2 Overall Thoughts
The Pixel Watch 2 is a solid choice for those seeking a general-purpose Android smartwatch with a sharp design and a wide variety of health tracking features. It doesn't have everything on my wish list, but it's a step in the right direction.
