Hands on with the 13-inch MacBook Pro
Our version of the latest 13-inch MacBook Pro has 2.7GHz second-generation Intel Core i5 CPU, a 500GB hard drive, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, and integrated Intel HD 3000 graphics for $1,499.
HD Webcams with FaceTime
All models also include new HD Webcams that are compatible with Apple's preinstalled FaceTime Web chat app.
Macbook Pros now feature Intel's Thunderbolt tech
The new MacBook Pros are the first to include Intel's new I/O hardware connector called Thunderbolt, a new cable system that unifies the way that devices like smartphones, hard drives, and other accessories interface with computers.
The technology boosts the speed and responsiveness of media files along a single wire, and Intel claims it can transfer a full HD
movie in less than 30 seconds.
MacBook Pro sizing
Base models of the new Pro line include two 13-inch models, two 15-inch models, and a single 17-inch model priced at $2,499.
Customize your MacBook Pro
As usual, custom configurations with faster processors, more storage with a solid-state option, increased memory, and better displays are available on Apple's Web site.
Open box
Packing for the new laptops is similar to previous models.
