The Evo 3D shows all the hallmarks of an HTC Android phone. It offers a slim profile and an eye-popping 4.3-inch QHD display. Gingerbread is onboard and the handset also runs HTC Sense. Above the display is a 1.3-megapixel camera while below are the touch navigation controls.
Though you can't quite see the effect in this photo, the Evo 3D can take 3D still shots and record 3D video. The effect is subtle, but certainly noticeable. Images appear to float off the screen rather than pop right in your face. As with the LG Optimus 3D, you don't need special glasses.
In the media gallery menu you can see all recorded photos and videos, 3D and 2D.
The Evo 3D's keyboard will be your primary interface point for text messaging, e-mail, and Web browsing.
The phone dialer interface is standard Android, with large alphanumeric buttons and a list of your recent calls.
The Evo 3D has two cameras on its rear side for shooting 3D video. Both have a 5-megapixel resolution. A flash sits in between.
On the left spine is a camera shutter and a switch for changing between 2D and 3D recording.
With HTC's Leap feature, you can see miniature versions of all seven home screens by pinching your fingers.
The Evo 3D has an attractive music player interface.
As you'd expect, the Evo 3D supports Google Maps.
With HTC's Friend Stream, you can see the latest social-media updates from your friends.
The menu interface has a standard icon-based design. On the bottom are icons for switching to a favorites menu (the star) and your downloads (the arrow).
