Utilities Updates

InformINIT has been updated to version 8.1. "The new version weighs in with 40 chapters of information on control panels, extensions, and general System software and System Folder information. Included in this version is support for Mac OS 8.1."

WebChecker 1.1.1 is out. "WebChecker is a utility program designed to help you manage web pages you check frequently. It will check to see if a web page has been modified, and will notify you - or even automatically launch your favorite web browser - when it detects any changes. Version 1.1.1 has the following changes: - Fixed application creator type - Fixed bug where window title wasn't reflecting group name. - Fixed bug where too many items in list would cause garbled text. - Fixed bug that would chop off first character on imported URL's. - Fixed bug where new groups could not be opened once closed."

PowerLogix's 3 Cache Utility 1.0.1 is out. The new version includes a 1Mb option for usage with the PowerMac G3 300, which has 1Mb of backside cache.

Custom Menus 1.1 is out. It now supports Mac OS 8.0 and 8.1. It allows you to create tear-off menus and move them around, for faster access to often-used items.

ClickTyper 1.2 is out. ClickTyper is "an innovative application program intended for people who can't use a keyboard. It gives you the freedom to write with your computer."

YankPro, a commercial version of the shareware Yank 3.0, is now out.

Yamaha CRW upgrades Yamaha has released firmware upgrades for the CRW4260 and CRW4001 models.
