Preview print reversal workaround Turning on the "Mirror" option in the Print dialog box alleviates a previously reported problem where Apple's Preview application would print the first page of a document in reverse.

Loss of keyboard workaround We previously reported several cases of PowerBook keyboards ceasing to function after installation of Mac OS X 10.2.1. Mohammad Haque notes a potential workaround:

"I had a similar problem after installing Mac OS X 10.2.1. As a solution, I booted into single user mode (command-s at boot) and looked at the output to see the system complaining about not finding IOADBFamily.

"I grabbed my Mac OS X 10.2 CD and use Pacifist to restore thefollowing from the Essentials.pkg file: /System/Library/Extensions/System.kext/Contents/PlugIns/IOADBFamily.kext

"My keyboard is again operational."

Magneto Optical drives Mark Wilczenski laments that his magneto optical drive is not compatibile with Mac OS X 10.2.1, and CharisMac - which produces a utility for working with magneto optical drives - does not plan to deliver a Jaguar-compatible release:

"I am using a Pinnacle Micro Tahoe 230 MO drive which under Mac OS 9.2.2 using Anubis Utility 3.52 works well and has for years, now I have made the move to Mac OSX 10.2.1 and can't seem to find a way to get my more than 100 230 MB MO disks I have and the drive to work.

"I contacted CharisMac and they have no plans to produce the Anubis utility software to operate under Mac OS X 10.2.1."

Timbuktu Pro log out Scott Rose reports a time consuming bug in the latest version of Timbuktu Pro running under Mac OS X 10.2 (Jaguar):

"When one Mac OS X 10.2.1 machine is controlling another Mac OS X 10.2.1 machine:We used to be able to 'log out' of that remote machine (pull down from the remote machine's 'Apple Menu' to 'Log Out...'), and then log back in as another user. Now, when we log out, Timbuktu Pro kicks us out of the control session, but worse yet, we can't create a new control session with that machine. We have to wait for someone to manually restart that machine."
