Troubleshooting Digital Cameras: a follow-up

Regarding the previous coverage of my ups and downs with my Olympus D600-L: I purchased NiMH batteries and I got the AC adapter. This cured the battery problems I was having but still did not resolve my downloading problem. I simply could not get the Mac to recognize the camera, even with the C2.1ME software. I called Olympus Tech Support about this and received some detailed advice. Some of this overlapped with tips already posted here, but some was new.
