Tomorrow Daily 139: Nvidia Shield, an online comic book class taught by Stan Lee and more
On today's show, we discuss the new set-top box future of Nvidia Shield, explain how you can take a comic book course taught by Stan Lee himself and check out NASA's SUPERball, a robot that might someday explore moons in our solar system.
It's a pretty exciting day today on the show. We can't wait to tell you all about the super-cool stories we've got lined up for you today, plus we've got some interesting debates. First up, we're discussing Nvidia's decision to change up its Shield handheld by transforming it into a set-top box. How much will Grid, its game streaming service, cost when it goes subscription in June? Is a $199 set-top box a viable entry into the genre? Would we add the Shield to our entertainment systems? It's all very good conversation, and we want you to be a part of it.
There's also some excellent news coming out of the Smithsonian this week: Stan Lee himself will be one of the teachers in an online course about the history of superheroes and their effect on our culture. Even better, the class is free for anyone who wants to audit. It starts in May, so you've got plenty of time to register!
Lastly, NASA has a robot that can withstand some serious falls. It's called SUPERball, and scientists hope that its structural flexibility can make it easier to land on (and explore) a moon like Titan. Very intriguing stuff.
