SystemWorks ships: Retrospect and DiskWarrior included

We have received numerous confirmations (see yesterday's item) that SystemWorks 2.0 has started shipping. Actually, all of the OS X versions of Symantec's software are now shipping.

Readers comment on two surprises included in SystemWorks 2.0:

Retrospect Two readers note that a version of Retrospect is included. We have confirmed with Symantec that it is Retrospect Express 5.0.

DiskWarrior Another reader notes that the SystemWorks 2.0 spec sheet states: "A special edition of Alsoft DiskWarrior helps you recover data in emergencies."

An Alsoft web page explains the differences from the regular edition of DiskWarrior and the "Recovery Edition" included with SystemWorks. For example: Only the full version includes DiskShield. (Thanks, Doug Reith-Hart.)

More info: "Alsoft DiskWarrior Recovery Edition is a recovery tool. A recovery tool allows you to copy inaccessible files from a disk with a damaged directory to another disk. After you complete the recovery process, your disk will still be in its original damaged state. To recover your files without having to copy them to another disk, you can upgrade to the full version of Alsoft DiskWarrior."

Also note: DiskWarrior is not OS X native. It will only run in Classic.
