StuffIt Expander and CarbonLib: a follow-up

Readers continue to report both successes and failures with using StuffIt Expander 6.0.1 and CarbonLib 1.2.5 (see previous coverage). A couple of readers said that the problem only occurred when using drag-and-drop to launch a stuffed file. Opening the file from an Open dialog box worked fine. (Thanks, Benoit Evans and Steve Leslie). Aladdin has been unable to confirm any problems here, and (given that many users concur) we continue to believe that something else is involved.

More generally, Aladdin confirms that StuffIt 6.0.1 does need at least some version of CarbonLib to work. They also note that Mac OS X 10.0 includes a different 6.0.1 (X) version of Expander that is a carbonized package.
