SNAX 1.1.5 is a maintenance update to this Finder-substitute utility. Find files almost instantaneously; Move, copy, and compress files; Preview pictures, movies, text files, pdfs, html quickly; much more.

Locator 0.6.4 is a graphical interface to OS X's built in locate-database which keeps track of all files on your hard drive. Because of the database, finding files using "locate" is very quick. It now supports removable media by generating separate databases for them.

Folder Icon X 1.0.2 provides a way to create a customized folder and document icons by placing another icon on a standard plain icon. All generated icons are 32-bit Mac OS X-compatible icons which can be viewed on both Classic Mac OS and Mac OS X.

ShadowKiller 1.1 is a minor update to this utility that kills Aqua menu and window shadows. Enhancements in this version: ShadowKiller does not have to be running to kill shadows, screen refreshing when ShadowKiller is enabled/disabled, and a new icon and about box.

SwitchPic 1.0.1 handles changing the desktop picture in Mac OS X 10.1. SwitchPic can also be used to randomly rotate the desktop picture at specified intervals. As an added bonus you can even use SwitchPic to set the desktop picture to one of the amazing images from the Mac OS X screensavers.

Plasma Tunnel Screensaver 1.2.3 is a OpenGL-based screensaver module.

Password glitch? A note on VersionTracker claims that, if you have the screensaver set to require a password and you let the Mac go to sleep (as opposed to simply letting the screensaver kick in), the Mac will wake up without asking for the password. Actually, we had previously received email claiming this as a general problem with OS X's Screen Saver, not just with this particular module. However, every time we have tested it out, the password option worked fine.

Update: Rosyna Keller suggests that the problem occurs if the Screen Saver software crashes: "If you are using 10.1 and choose 'Automatically Display Crash Logs' you will 'see' the crash reported in situations where the request for a password is bypassed."

XDarwin 1.0.4.1 is a free version of XFree86, an implementation of the X Window System, running side by side with Mac OS X's Aqua GUI.
