OS X Odds & Ends: AirPort, 128-bit encryption & Mac OS X

AirPort, 128-bit encryption and Mac OS X Mathew Fleming notes that MacInTouch recently had an item stating that Apple had updated its AirPort cards (within the last month; part number M7600LL/C) to support 128-bit encryption, although a reader contended that the change is not supported under Mac OS X 10.0.4. Mathew replies: "I decided to try the new AirPort card with a new iBook running Mac OS X 10.0.4 and lo and behold it works! Only works with a 128-bit WEP base station of course."
