AppleWorks crashes A MacFixIt Forums thread (AppleWorks 6.2 won't fully open) describes a problem where AppleWorks 6.2 will not open. A posting states: "I've found that it's linked to the loading of the translator files at startup. If you move or rename the folder "DataViz_Carbon" in the "AppleWorks Essentials" folder which resides inside the AppleWorks 6 folder it should start. Of course then none of the translator filters will work."

Note: Ken Culver also found that AppleWorks 6.2 kept crashing on startup. He simply deleted it and reverted to using the 6.1.2 install on his OS 9 partition. This worked fine.
