Odds and Ends: Fujitsu GIGAMO drives not mounting on iMac G5s

Fujitsu GIGAMO drives not mounting on iMac G5s MacFixIt reader Paul Porter reports that problems with use of a GIGAMO (removable optical media) drive from Fujitsu in conjunction with an iMac G5.

One reader writes:

"After you insert an MO cartridge, the green light on the Drive goes on, and thats all. MO Cartridge never mounts on the desktop, restart or anything else does not help."

The same reader received a reply from an individual at Fujitsu's technical support department, who writes:

"Since the problem is not the DynaMo 1300 FE, but a problem from the Apple side, you will have to consult Apple or the Firewire Card Producer."
