Epson and Camedia conflict? Frank Marder writes: "We've been using an Epson 1600 scanner with FireWire interface on a G4/450 running OS 9.0.4. We added an Olympus 3030 digital camera with Camedia software. After the camera was installed, we could no longer acquire the scanner in Photoshop. We eventually discovered a work-around: Disable the 'Epson USB Scanner 0107' extension. For some reason this conflicts with something in the Camedia drivers. After disabling the offending extension both the camera and the scanner began working properly." Outlook Express "leave messages on server" bug? Brent Baisley writes: "I've been working with Microsoft on a bug in Outlook Express that exists in 5.0.x versions. If you set Outlook Express to leave messages on the server for any amount of time, it will have problems with certain messages. In particular, it will not recognize that it has already downloaded the message and will re-download it every time it connects. It will also never delete it from the server regardless of the settings you have in the preferences. Messages that have this problem appear to be ones where the message ID is very long." MacTCP DNR and FreePPP MacInstruct discusses an issue where you be unable to access Web sites via FreePPP, due to a corrupt MacTCP DNR file. Deleting the file is the solution. iDisk mounting problem? Tim McCleary signed up for iTools after last week's Macworld Expo. So far, everything has worked except he is unable to access his iDisk. He found similar reports on Apple's Tech Exchange from others who had recently signed up for iTools. An Apple Support reply stated: "Your account, when first created, may not have had your iDisk provisioned yet. Try again in a little while..."
