Odds and Ends: Adobe Offers InDesign Fix; iDisk Password
Adobe offers InDesign fix Adobe has posted a patch for users experiencing problems installing InDesign. A bug caused users to receive the message "Error creating folder. 1008:9,-5000 access denied" followed by "You do not have enough access privileges for this installation."
iDisk password security Security Focus Online has published a brief describing a potential security hole affecting iDisk and Mail.app:
"The password for an Apple iDisk is sent via HTTPS/WebDAV. However, if you configure OSX with an iDisk password, the same password is copied to the Mail.app configuration (which might not have been previously configured). Clicking on a "mailto" link fires up Mail.app, which then connects to mac.com which does not support any method of encrypted password transmission. Net effect: your iDisk password is transmitted in the clear without your awareness, albeit as a mail password."
