MYOB installer fixed? Regarding the problem installing MYOB 9.0.3 (see previous item), a reader was told by MYOB tech support that a new version was posted as of January 3rd which fixed the problem. He downloaded the new file and it worked.

Yet another cause of the once-per-second disk access A reader traced his instance of this problem (see previous item) to a freeware control strip called Fine Volume Strip.

TelePort software install glitch? Domenico Bettinelli gets an error that says he needs to be running Mac OS 7.6.1 or newer when he tries to install the TelePort software for his Global Village 56K v.90 external modem connected to a beige G3. He is running Mac OS 9. We have not had other reports of this.

Linux Joe Laffey wanted us to remind readers that, while Connectix is now offering Virtual PC with Linux, another option is to run LinuxPPC directly on the Mac.
