Photoshop plug-in update expected to fix bug with G4s Mark Mosher notes that users have been reporting a bug with G4 Sawtooth Macs running Photoshop, where multi-colored bandings occur when using distort filters on JPEG images. Downgrading Grappler firmware fixes problem Adam Wunn was having problems with a SCSI Grappler 940UW card. He could not format, initialize, or even consistently copy data to the Seagate 4.5GB UW drive he had attached to the card in his SuperMac clone. Orange Micro tech support suggested he downgrade from the 3.2.5 version of the 940UW firmware to the 3.2.2 version. It worked. The Orange Micro rep told him that "some users have had problems with the newer firmware and downgrading seems to help."

According to the Orange Micro web page, version 3.2.5 is needed for use with HFS Plus. However, Adam claims that the 3.2.2 version worked just fine on his HFS Plus formatted drives.
